Delivery Stories #1: I nearly died

Today, I am going to start a new segment of my blog called DELIVERY STORIES.

So, just a short intro on why I wanted to start this series. Because driving and living in Singapore is hard. Due to the environment and inconsiderate people. Every episode of the series, I will be sharing about things that happened when I was helping out with my mum for the past few weeks.

If you have watched my video on youtube. My mum is an essential worker, delivery woman. It's rare, it's a tough job, carrying 15kg of carrot cakes and my mum is 50 years old+. But what can we do?? Because My father went to heaven early and I have to study. One of my mum's wish is to see us graduate from university. 

For the Yishun - Woodlands friends in Singapore. I bet you know a placed called Chong Pang City Wet Market & Food Centre. It's a famous place for their food and wet market. May I say it's also a place with heavy human traffics and where most of the pioneer generation is there.

It's just pure impossible to wait for the loading bay to be available because there are inconsiderate people who will park at the loading as there parking and go for their shopping time. Most of the time, what will happen is even after we finished unloading they are not back yet. So the only solution is to park the vehicles at the side of the road.

But there was this guy who parked his lorry in the middle of nowhere. Because that row can park 3 vehicles but this dude just occupied two. Okay, but that's not the main problem. What happened exactly as we had the to opened the rear door and it going upwards. So this dude was like using his lorry horn and pointing at our rear door telling us to push it down for him to allow him to move. As I mention he already occupied to vehicle slots which means he had a big area at the back for him to USE THE REVERSE GEAR TO REVERSE. But he freaking refused. (which I don't freaking get it as a newbie driver.)

So obviously, as a newbie driver myself also knows that there's no need to trouble people to close the door for him to move out. So I was angry and obviously, my mum was too. But eventually, my mum did, lower down the door so he could move out. But guess what he did.

He freaking drive forward and nearly hit me and my mum. Fortunately, we had our trolley that hit his bumper. After that, he just drove away and he didn't even have the face to even look at us. 

The main thing was, what if he actually hit one of us. This is not about just car incident anymore is just showing how people nowadays are driving recklessly. But seriously, he could have taken in OUR DAMN EASY ADVICE to just reverse it doesn't kill to just step on the clutch to change the damn gear down and reverse. 

Moral of the story, USE YOUR GOD DAMN REVERSE GEAR. It is there for a purpose not just to use during parking. Also, it would help to use your brain too. :)

Okay, end of episode one of delivery stories. Okay, I know this is just like a rant series but you know what? you might be the person that encounter this before or else you might be the guilty one who do all these bad things. HAHA OKIE BYEE!!
