ONDO ˚ Model Audition & Popup Store
ONDO store is a store with different Korean designer brands that have a different style from comfortable daily to stars. According to the website, ONDO is the first project to give the chance for Korean brands to expand to South East Asia where there is a big market that hasn’t been elevated yet. They believed there is much more value in Korean brands just than the K-pop or Korean drama culture and wanted the brands to get more legit recognition as an established fashion brand.
To show some love for all designers, I decided to blog about what happened!!
So what happened was that I was casually watching Instastories when I saw this account which was ONDO and I was always interested in the fashion design. Furthermore, it was about Korean fashion!! Some fashion Instagram accounts I follow are Q2han, Jstyle_evellet, Stylenanda, Eyeye, and moreee! They are more towards the Korean style which I LOVEEE!! Hence, I was actually super excited when they had a popup store for their opening!!
What was more exciting was that they have a model search to be the ambassador of the store. What shocked me the most was a post they posted yesterday was that the person that gets chosen will be able to fly to Korea to get the opportunities to be part of the Korean fashion world! Ohhh myyyy goddesssss!! Being able to get there to be in the Korean fashion world. That's like my freaking dream!! So I shall only pray and hope!! haha!
So around two days before the event, I actually prepared myself before going there. Whereby I went to their website and their Instagram account to take a look at what they have there. I won't lie I have never seen any of these brands but when I see the clothing they have I was super impressed and I kind off fell in love!! Because every design has its own style from feminine to street style and casual!!

I went to the pop-up store with my laptop and my favourite LINE tote bag. When I reached, I didn't know what to do as I was earlier than I was supposed to for my model mini shoot! I went there not knowing what to do so I went in one round and just went out. That's when one guy who was wearing a totally pink outfit, sunglasses, and a beret? ( Omg he look super good) approached me and ask me why I was there. So I told him that I was for the model search and actually I did RSVP for the event day which was the "BTS Day" Pubilc Holiday. TMI: I went there actually thinking there will be BTS things there. (lol) Facepalm to me even though I know is a showcase for the designers. But they did put like photos of BTS in some areas!!

So back to the model audition, I was told to mix and match outfit myself and after that, they will want us to take a boomerang with the pretty flower backdrop and also some photos for them!! When I went in the second round I was actually thinking like omg how am I going to style all these clothing. Plus most of the styles are actually styles that I always wanted to try!! I have no idea why I was very overwhelmed even though there aren't a lot of choices from each brand (I mean they are new!!) and also I have seen all the pieces from Instagram a few days ago!!
So the whole process was that I wanted to combine different style into one outfit and I always love the concept of stacking clothing. Hence, I created an outfit with a top from Nominate, pants from AA/C and outerwear from no(ai). After changing I went out I was just contemplating if I should top up the outfit with the Newsboy Hat from no(ai). But ended up I didn't because I thought it will be too many things going on. But I did try on and took some cute selfie pictures. This was the first time I was just like standing there for a good few minutes to take mirror pictures and selfies in the public MYSELF!! But you know what, it is all worth it because I am happy to be able to share the clothing by these small designers.
So it's time to share some love by showing my favourites from each brand:
I really had fun trying out different clothing even though there was a waiting line to have our clothes changed. Also, what I realized after the event was actually most of them where like Instagrammers with a few thousand followers and some were even designers themselves!! Love the 2-way support everyone is giving!!
Lastly, I would like to end this post by thanking all the staff from ONDO for having this popup store to give a platform for the designers to showcase their design. Also, to have me there to try on some of the clothing!! I'm super inspired after this showcase and hopefully, in future, I will be able to make out real clothing like all the talented designers!!

Just go to Dhoby Ghaut MRT → Exit A → up to the escalator → turn to your right and then you will see the building there!!
